Labaro manual

How to install Labaro, add your services, and get the most out of it from day to day.

Labaro puts Slack, WhatsApp, Gmail and your other services side by side in one small Mac window. Each one is the service’s own web page, running in the web engine macOS already has, with its own sign-in. There’s no extra browser per service, and services you aren’t using are put to sleep to give their memory back.

Start here

What you need

  • A Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later. This is what gives every service its own sign-in, so you can run two Slack workspaces or two WhatsApp numbers. It’s also what lets Gmail and Slack be checked for new messages without loading their pages.
  • Apple Silicon or Intel. The same download runs on both.

Labaro is Mac only for now. Linux and Windows versions aren’t released yet.

The window at a glance

The dark strip down the left is the sidebar. It has one icon for each service, a + to add another, and a figure showing how much memory Labaro is using. Click an icon to show that service in the rest of the window. Services you switch away from keep running, so switching back is instant, until they’ve been idle long enough to sleep.
